Saw this pop up on my facebook page and looked interesting, until I saw the price.

A few days later this comes down my page and while probably not in the same league as the above, still looks interesting.

May be a great thing for those looking to finish off the reverse seared steak, crisp up that chicken skin or wings.

If I wasn't off work right now for some health issues and not sure how many weeks I will be off, I would have bought the bottom one. The GF would nut me if I bought it now.

I have a bluestar range with an alleged 1850 degree broiler. I don't have a temp gun that goes up that high, but it maxes out my thermoworks instantly. It's nice to have, but I don't use it all that often. It's fantastic for certain items though. Got to keep close watch though!

I would probably use it more if I had the wall mount salamander.

All suggestions are Good suggestions...I think you all are going to struggle funding things that are more then about $400-$500 including shipping!  I jut don't think the site is quite big enough yet!

I agree to a certain point, but I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility to sell 70 twenty dollar tickets for 1400 total. Probably not for a broiler, but maybe something else.

Edenpure product on Amazon got poor overall reviews.  Esp. for reliability and service.  Does not have an auto starter.  That is probably why the price is so much cheaper!   :2cents:

Took a quick look at the two links.  The unit from Eden is bargain priced.  I wonder if that is a telling sign. My Blue Star range has a gas fired broiler and it is great so I will be sticking with that for finishing if not using my gas grill.

Which bluestar you have? Nice to have another owner on the site. I've had two. One rangetop and one range. Love them both.
