Seems like a lot of experienced cookers on here. Curious as to where I fall in the pecking order.
-
Years on this earth, years cooking in general, years cooking on a pellet pit?
-
on earth...those other questions may be good polls too

Bentley/58 in 6 weeks...(in my best bandito voice from Sierra Madera) I aint afraid of no stikin number...
-
I will be 48 in about 7 weeks.
-
You're both pups, just hit 71 last month and going strong.
-
Turned 72 in August
I have a great attitude about things.
One thing for sure. The clock doesn't stop. It keep moving right along, continuously.
If you keep on kicking, you'll eventually get to where I am.
-
Turned 72 in May
-
I was able to say under 40 by about 7 weeks or so. I will be a man on October 25 (YouTube "I'm a man, I'm 40" if you don't know what that means, but I would imagine you college football fans already know).
-
No 35 and under category??? :rotf:

My 20th wedding anniversary is that day.

I would think we might like a 29 and holding :pig: Of course, that would only work for me if there were no photos available.
-
I am a young and spry 46.
-
50 so I get to change my answer in 5 months
-
I am 46 as well.
-
I am 67 and just glad to be sucking oxygen with the rest of the mortals out there
-
Fairly even age split among those who have participated in the poll.
-
Curious...when does middle age end? I know I left it long ago...I mean, to me, 90 is a pretty long life...
-
Average male life is about 78 now so let's round off to 80 which means middle age starts at say 40.
-
Starts or ends?

Well, that's certainly the middle of the average age. But Middle Aged is a period of years. Maybe Middle Aged is 35 to 45 then. But that doesn't seem right.
I think it's generally thought of as 45 to 65.
-
Always interested in others take on it...and it certainly is different then mine. I guess I at times take it to literally also. I figured I left middle age at about 46...
-
Thought I posted here already but I can't find it. I'm 67 and just glad I'm still here sucking oxygen with the rest of you mortals.
Check reply 17. Sucking air, but don't see so good...just kidding. Glad we are all breathing.

My mother in law wanted an Echo and my wife talked her out of it. I sent her this link and told her to get this one. LOL
-
I turned 54 last month but I'm still a doofus 14 or 15 in my head. I just have a little more money and a drivers license now. Age is just a number. Doesn't mean you're old.
-
I'm a true geezer, 81

I have two thoughts on this, no, three! I'm 68, (I've got a calculator and I double checked) First I had to read all the posts to make sure I had not forgot that I had posted already. Second, It's not getting old that's bad, it's all the replacement parts. And Three, Life is like a roll of toilet paper, the closer it gets to the end, the faster it goes.
Keep on Smoking'

About 10% of the registered members have voted...wonder if it would still be the same % if all voted? Is that what a sampling is?

Number 3 is very true.
Not to far behind ya at 62.

65 1/2 but the number is meaningless as long as you have a good doctor, pharmaceuticals, procedures, and the insurance and money for the co-pays. Many of us are on life support and 50 years ago would have already been on the "no longer active" list. No complaints even though Tuesday I go in for a "cardiac ablation" to deal with afib. Luckily I have never smoked anything that wasn't on a grill, now pellet of course and I am still able to work at a fairly physically demanding job even with the erratic behavior of my heart. I probably will never be thankful enough for the life I have, but being I am certainly appreciative of the great community on this site and those yet to come to be Pellet Fans.

My actual age is 43, my wife says I act 12. But most days the body feels much older then that. I hit 41 and the health issues hit.
-
I am 38.5 years old. As I age there seems to be fewer people telling me what to do, and I like that.

Made me laugh a few times, that part has me nervous.

-

-
Fitty two until two/two/twennyeighteen!!

It looks like it isn't until you turn 40 that you become smart enough to realize that a pellet cooker is the right equipment for you because it is easier to use than most other grills/smokers. ;D
-
53, and loving spending time with everyone on this site, but as DE mentioned earlier, seems like that paper toilet roll keeps going faster and faster......

It took me until I was 46 to figure that out ;D
Fast forward two years to 48 and there are no stick burners in my compound!
-
Gonna be 82 next month. Married 50 yrs this month. Life is good. Been pellet grilling about 5 years. Learned more in that time than a lifetime before.

In the spirit of this thread and the Holidays, and for those who remember and dig the Swing and Big Band sound, here is the Air Force band wearing throw-back uniforms of the Army Air Corp performing Jingle Bells. Enjoy!!
