Man, those are a lot bigger then we ever caught out of Santa Barbara!
-
Is that red snapper?

I would say rock cod, but we will have to wait and see...See the one on the right that was chewing bubble gum!

Chewing bubble gum.. :rotf:
Around here, I'd be lucky to get one about 8-10 inches. Snappers are even smaller. :(

Nice snappers. Bet they were great feast.
Best part of my fishing trip to Canada in 2016: Shore lunch walleye.

Rock cod is correct.

Bocaccio maybe? Those are some of the best looking fish I've seen in years and the deck hand is a lot nicer looking than most too. :)

Always tend to catch ice quality fish on this particular trip. It is a three hour boat ride North of Morro Bay Ca. In an area called Cape San Martin. Due to the distance it is not a heavily fished area. Great time.

The Monterey boats run trips down to Pt. Sur now and then and that can be pretty good fishing also.

Point Sur is where I caught my biggest Ling Cod back about 25 years ago. Good quality Rock Fish to be caught there.
