When you add another 1.5 inches of rain over night to an area that has already had 6 inches dumped on it in the last 10 days!
And this is what happens when over night, you add another 1.5 inches of rain to an already soaked landscape! The normal bank of the run is about where the tree in the center of the 2nd photo with the ivy on it is. Alas...no picnicking today!

Is this on your property or somewhere else?

This is the type of precipitation which brings out swarms of the overly friendly ‘vampire’ mosquitos.
Somewhere I remember the saying ‘Keep your powder dry’, well in this case.. Stay on high ground and above all.. Keep your ‘pellets’ dry.. :bbq:
Stay dry Bentley..

Is this on your property or somewhere else?
It doesn't look like the Meredith's property. It looks more like a park.
-
It is the park across the street from our land. Mountain Run is right up against the border of the park and floods the low areas when there is a lot of rain.
-
And here is 4 hours and 1/2 inch later and rain and it is still coming down. I do feel for the farmers! 1st time I have ever noticed White Water on Mountain Run...

Our entrance, I thought I was going to have to go get a motel room, was not sure I would make it back to the house! You would think the culverts are plugged? Naw, just cant handle the amount of water coming off the soil!
