While it is food related it is not BBQ so I the mods move this I will understand.
My wife and I are up at the cabin so decided to visit the Brauhaus German Restaurant near my hometown of Akeley, MN. It is just west of Akeley on Hiway 34 heading toward Nevis.

My wife decided on the Rinderbraten (roast beef in gravy) with a side of red cabbage and German Potato salad.

Beef was VERY TENDER and loved the seasoning in the meat and gravy.

Might add the place was packed so that says something too. We were glad we got there a little early.

But I regret not taking pictures, so sorry. I had the Schwartzwalder Kirschtorte and my wife had the Raspberry Bread Pudding. Both were very good!
If you are ever in the area it is worth the stop.
Take care,

Looks very good. We have place like that in Columbus, Ohio called Schmidt's Sausage Haus. They have Jumbo Cream Puffs on the desert menu. It sounds like they both have something else in common with there typically being a several hour wait if you go at dinner time.
