I'm in!! Don't really need another one, but it's a good cause and I would certainly take a Rec Tec and the best pellets in the USA for $20.00!!

That was the same discussion I had with myself and the same outcome.

I just entered.
-
I got mine. I can't wait. I love the fact that the proceeds are going to rescue dogs. One of my favorite youtube channels is Hope For Paws, a group that rescues dogs and other animals.

Ditto!

I'm in. Great Cause!
-
In also, always fun to try and win and with a cause like this who can resist.
-
Great cause, I'm in.

.....and I'm in again. I never win anything, but this is a cause I can get behind. :bbq:

One of the stories of their "forever" dogs:
Ivan (Intake 2010) -- A sad case of domestic violence.
It started by being abused by his owner's husband. Then during a violent assault on the owner by the husband, police were called in to help. In an attempt to reach the severely wounded woman, Ivan's response to defend her ended in being tazzered—twice- then hauled off to a local shelter. His owner died, but thankfully he was not returned to the husband. Understandably he is untrusting of most people, particularly men. Due to his history and bad breeding, this normally mild mannered sweet boy does have some residual unpredictable behavior and stress induced physical problems an deemed un-adoptable.

Thank you Chris and PelletFans for caring about these animals and showing, once again, what great folks you all are!!!

That's why I'm in.
Thank you Chris and PelletFans for caring about these animals and showing, once again, what great folks you all are!!!
And a gigantic THANK YOU to the folks at Rec Tec for providing the RT-700!!! The more I read about it the more I like it. I'll probably never be able to afford one so this is a great opportunity. Can we buy more than one ticket??

I've probably used Paypal thousands of times and only remember one or two issues, and they took care of them for me. I would sooner use their service than provide yet another site my credit card information.

Same here, but I've never had an issue. You can use a credit card also. And I received my receipt for it today with the ticket number from Cookinpellets after paying with PayPal. I'm still debating buying another ticket.
-
Hmm...I didn't get my receipt/ticket # yet. Better check my spam folder.

I was wondering about that also, but when I came to check it was in my inbox. It was about an hour ago when I got it and I paid for the ticket late last night. I am wondering how many tickets are left. Still can't decide on another one. It only takes one to win and I never win anything, so I'm torn. I just hope someone from here wins it. Maybe I can talk Bonnie into buying one for me...
-
I bought the first one @ 8:30 and just a few minutes ago got the email confirmation (spam) folder, that number is 186.
I bought another one @ 12:30 and have not gotten that receipt yet.
I do however have a screen shot of it and that invoice number is different than the 1st invoice number, if that makes any sense.
-
I bought my ticket yesterday at 4:51 AM. I did not get my ticket number until 2:06 PM and it was #173.
-
Hope I am in. I also bought one and no reply yet.

-
Same here. I bought my ticket on 9/13 and although the payment has cleared PayPal and my bank, I haven't had any response from them.
-
My hopefully "lucky number" is 167. I had a response in 2 days...
-
I purchased my second one before noon yesterday, and I still haven't gotten a ticket.

I'm in with PayPal for $20. Awaiting my "ticket"
-
Most likely the delays are from him having to manually take a photo of each ticket and then send it to the purchaser.
-
I know that Chris and the company appreciate the support you are all giving!
-
Have not looked for my ticket yet, but just put mine in. My dogs have Been rescues so gotta do it.
Thanks for what you are doing Chris.
-

This is probably the case. Waiting on my ticket as well. No worries though. It was a weekend and the drawing isn't until October 15th. Capped at 250 tickets.
-

Easy to feel good about this one. Good cause. Everybody wins.
-
I jumped in on the first day for a good cause. If I am lucky enough to win this, I know a young family I would like to give the bull to since I already have one. I'm keeping some of those awesome pellets though.
Wishing all who are participating the best of luck!
-
I bought mine on the 14th.
Thank you COOKINPELLETS for putting on this raffle.
This is a great opportunity to give to a wonderful cause and maybe
come away with a new smoker!!
Win-Win for the shelter.
Good luck everyone..
-
Has the 250 cap been met yet?
-
Since folks can still purchase a ticket, I would guess no.
-
I just got one!
-
I purchased a ticket. It is for a great cause and everybody is a winner.
-
Merediths, there seems to me that there is some confusion from members of PF that may think that PF is a part of this raffle process. As I understand it, you are supportive and most likely have approved of cookinpellets posting about the raffle on your site, but that you are not involved in how the raffle is being executed. Please confirm or correction my assumptions.
-
I picked up a ticket too. If I win the raffle (don't worry, I'm not that lucky) I will need to off load either a Traeger Lil Tex Elite with Ortech controller, or a 9 month old FireCraft Q-450. Just don't see a reason to have three pellet smokers on the patio.
-
Has the 250 cap been met yet?
Seems like it's still going because they are still offering. But I bought mine on Saturday (9/15) and I'm #228.
-
I just received an email that showed both of my tickets.
Awful nice email and this ought make everyone happy to hear, they are a tad behind due to a 'Plethora" of tickets sold, that's a good thing!
He claims plethora is the word of the day so I am going with it.
I also took a few minutes to peruse the website, gotta try the pellets, will look into a way to do it.
On a side note, check out the recipes, Yum!
1. Smoked Olives- printed and definite TO-DO
2. Bacon Cookies- printed and definite TO-DO, in fact more than likely tonight or tomorrow, for a buddies birthday at work.
3. Garlic Cream Cheese stuffed strip steak pinwheels- Wowzer, same applies for this one.
Lots of good things there.

You are correct Lew. Chris asked if he could post a thread and direct folks to his site to purchase a ticket. It was a no brainer to say yes. And we have no association with the raffle. That disclaimer is especially important since I bought a ticket. I would accept the pellets and probably let him re-raffle the pit since I have no need for another pit. I just wanted to support the cause and Chris!
-

I'm not sure that they can legally change the number they sell. People bought them as one out of 250, so I'm pretty sure that has to be what is sold.
-
I truly don't think there is anything to worry about, they do more than just this raffle and I am sure they are WAY above changing the amount of tickets once underway.
I personally wouldn't give that another thought.
#185 & 196.

Man it's tough getting old.
Tell me about it, going in next week for my third back surgery following heart bypass and knee replacement. However it's better than the other option.
-
I think as we were leaving Southern California in 2013 that some types of back surgery there was being done with robotics. Is this the case with yours...If I hopefully am not becoming to personal?
Tell me about it, going in next week for my third back surgery....
-

As far as I can tell, my surgeon is not a robot. All though, here in the land of geezers, I'm sure someone is doing it robotic. If I make it through pre-op tomorrow, Monday they are going to do a laminectomy(decompression) and fuse L3-4 and L4-5.

As another geezer with a similar problem I wish you the best for a speedy recovery.
-
Hey junior, nothing wrong with a little humor. I think this is a site that appreciates humor.... If you can't laugh you would be crying. Might as well laugh, the food and drink always taste better that way! hughver, good luck with your pre-op and the surgery next week.... hope to hear and see good stuff from you again soon.
-

I feel your pain, I have been trying to get my 8th back surgery, ( initial injury 1985 ), The Doctor changed the rules on me the other day after 5 months of things to do. Now wants more then he MIGHT do the surgery, things he could have had me do the past 5 months. Well, that did not sit well with me. New Doctor time. This guy just wasted 5 months of me in pain. :)
Bought my 2 entries :)

Had the bypass as a surprise present for my 80th birthday in Dec. 2015. Working on the knee and back but not there yet. Hope you have a quick recovery. I do worry that when I die I will find that there is no xxxx or that perhaps this existence was xxxx. Not sure who I would cuss. :rotf:
-
I'm in for 1 more. Good cause and if i don't win, a fellow Pellet Fan will...

how did your surgery go?
-
According to the sawbones it all went well. Due to the massive amount of cutting that was required, it'll be a while before I know for sure if my back pain problem is better. I'm able to walk short distances and will probably start physical therapy next week. My gut feeling is that things are better but only time will tell how much my mobility has improved.
-
The gut is usually right!
-
Truly hope you have some relief.
-
ohhhh mannn i hope you feel better.....
