 :cool:Don't know if anyone is looking for a deal on this, but Amazon has this knife sharpener on for $86, down from $129! That's a great "Deal Of The Day", as they are calling it. I was going back and forth on it at $129, but at this price, I'll give it go. Just FYI.

Funny...I went back to get another one, just because the price was so good, but the deal was done...over...kapput!  Bummer.  While I was sulking, I found that the grinding attachment was on sale as well, for $65, down from $79, so I got that instead.  Knife sharpeners have said great things about it, so what the heck.

And now for the weird.  This thing does sharpen stuff.  Bread, bread knife mind you. In the sink, I am looking for things to wash in sink with hand.  I don't run my finger against it, it is simply 47 Ronin stuff where my finger goes straight into the blade...and Viola!  And it was sharpened 10 months ago!

I also have one and never use it. 

It does work and work well once you figure it out, but it's simply quicker to get out my DMT whetstones.  The only time I'll consider getting out the gizmo is if someone gives me a REALLY dull knife to sharpen, but I usually still use the whetstones.

It works rather well.  I simply prefer the classic (old school) flat bevel.
