Memphis Wood Fired Grills and Zakkary Folley for saving me $200. The Memphis Pro controller would not function to get the unit to start any more. I just assumed that the controller was bad. After sending in a request via their web site I was contacted by Zakkary and advised it was probably the controller and it would be $200. Well, I am a cheap screw, but after 10 years of flawless service I figured if it took that to keep it going so be it. I did think I had burned the fuse out, so I wrote Zakkary and asked what the specific fuse was, he said he doubted it was that. He did send me the info on the fuse and also suggested I disconnect the ribbon between the controller and the faceplate and see if that helped...ohh, and by the way we can send you a faceplate free of charge if you want to try that.
Well, I decided I would get the new fuse, unhook the ribbon and make sure it was not that and go from there. Nothing happened, so I asked if they would send me a new faceplate (knowing full well that would not fix the problem) and see if it would work.
Well lets just say Ta Da! Fixed, end of story, no $200 charge on my credit card!
Kudos Memphis Wood Fired Grills!

Glad to hear you were able to get it fixed and up and running again!
Your grill was one of the first ones made.

Heck of a deal.

Always nice when a manufacturer goes out of their way to keep customers happy. This only says how sincere and truly dedicated to their customers, Memphis is.. Glad I have one.

What fantastic service.
I can't believe they replaced a 10 year old part for free.

It has been one tough machine. Up and down the state of California to competitions, over to Nevada, and Indiana and Ohio (I think) for Competitions, back and forth across the US a couple of times. And it works like a charm and when I decide to clean it up, is still good looking. It is a beast and I love how it cooks!!!

Did you not have that Memp-Pro in Wisconsin at our gathering at the airport?
If I recall, you had a mega-pit fire, until things settled down, in whatever pit you were smoking on.

Zakkary is awesome and their customer service is stellar. The Memphis logo wiped off my hood and I reached to see if I could buy a new logo plate and if it would be user replaceable. They sent me a whole replacement hood and return label to send the old hood back. Pretty amazing service. The only other grills I've ever seen that match their construction quality are premium lines at fireplace stores that are in the built in market.

I flew in for that event and ran the judging, so did not pay attention to what pit Bent brought, but I would assume it was the Pro. Forgot about Wisc -- thanks Troop.

No, I want to say that a Manufacture lent me some units. I am embarrassed to say I do not remember. I thought I was working for GMG at that time, so I would have thought that Earth Sense who was a GMG dealer would have supplied me some units. GB Griller worked for them and he put on the competition. Steve "Mountain man" Berry was there, but for the life of me I dont remember. I wanna say a Memphis rep was there and lent me a unit or two! We did not bring a trailer or any units.
