Good idea for folks that have to wear masks all day. For those of us that wear headsets a lot we get something called ear cramps. It is painful and can't really be massaged away.

Have you tried IEMs?  I can wear Moondrop Starfields or (older) VSonics for 5 hours without a problem.  I can't find a pair of headphones that encompass my ears instead of pressing on them.

If you don't need an associated microphone, Beats are pretty comfortable.  They're light.

On the subject of masks and ears...I just use the mask straps that go over the head and don't involve my ears.

Another company that makes good IEMs is Etymotic. Their price range goes from $70 to $330 (pretty pricey).

You'd know.

Is there something that's popular with Amateur Radio Operators?

Most other amateur radio operators that I know of are using the old, large over-the-ear style headsets (cans).
I mentioned the Etymotics as they are used in many sound studios by both the board operators and many musicians.
Just don't use them while outside walking as you probably won't hear people or vehicles approaching until it is too late.
