Title: Barretts Smokehouse

Last week I had an opportunisty to cross something off my bucket list, lunch at Barretts Smokehouse. I ordered their brisket salad because it had to be good for you, right? After all, it is salad! I am sure the hot bacon dressing was their "lite" dressing!! I was sceptical when I ordered, but it was actually quite good.

However, the best feature of the meal was the side dish. It was not found on the menu, but in the back of Trooper's van. He brought a generous batch of "Mrs. Zcz's Baked Beans." By far some of the best beans I have ever had.

We also had the privilege of meeting up with TravelinMan. It was a great afternoon, very enjoyable food and conversation!!

The salad looks good.  The beans are always a hit!  Always nice to get to see Members!

Not a big bean person, but I would give those a try.

I love a good steak salad, never had a brisket salad. A place we used to go to made a very good prime rib salad.
