Anybody else feel that earthquake this morning? I was wobbling pretty good on the couch at the beach in NC. Light fixtures were swaying.
5.1 mag reported from Sparta, NC.

We don't have them very often here in the PNW. Experienced one when we lived in Spokane Wa. several years ago but it didn't amount to much. Someday when the west coast slides off into the Pacific, we should have beach front property and I can go crabbing whenever the urge strikes. :rotf:

2.3? That is me falling out of bed! Now earthquakes, that is something I have experienced. Sylmar, CA 1971 6.6. Coalinga, CA 1983, 6.3, and the winner...Northridge, CA 1994 6.7. All 3 very different types of earthquake!

About 1968 or so, I was in my office in an all glass building in Bismarck, North Dakota and the windows went BOOM! I thought, "Those guys from Ellsworth AFB aren't supposed to break the sound barrier."
Later, I found out that we had a 4.4 earthquake centered about 25 miles away.

You must not have been around for the 2001 Nisqually earthquake, it was pretty severe. I was conducting a meeting in Kent, WA when it hit, we all had to get under the conference room table because the ceiling fell down.
