I saw that yesterday...The past sometimes catches up to us Alcoholic/Addicts. They say he got sober in 2008, I hope he died that way!
-
They said that he had a long bout with cancer. Impossible to say if chemicals had do something about it, if it's just bad genetics, or a little of both.
-
Usually, but I think it was lung cancer? We love a cig when we are guzzling that Whiskey. I know I am making generalizations! I dis seeing them play in 1983 with David, and 1992 with Sammy, and I enjoyed his guitar licks!
-
I thought he had throat and tongue cancer and the throat cancer metastasized in the last few months.

A list of stars that is so sad to read, but thanks for sharing BBL. As I read through the list I had instant memories for almost each of them and how they helped shape my sports/ music insight and knowledge. Even though he was not an athlete by trade, I kinda put Mac Davis in my sports mind. Yeah, I loved "North Dallas Forty".
-
I have an embarrassing confession to make, I'm 84 years young and have never heard of Eddie VanHalen.
-

Heavy smoker Eddie Van Halen blamed his tongue cancer on the fact that he used to hold his brass and copper guitar picks in his mouth.
