Very few people in the U.S. know this song's origin.  The end is rather moving.

Thanks Paul!  One of my wife's great uncles was at Omaha that day.  It was an honor to meet and see him the few times I got to.

I remember hearing Vera Lynn sing it originally.  Not sure whether that was on radio or a recording.  Maybe it was in a movie? Anyhow it does get to you. Thanks.
