The GF works for UPMC at the local hospital, she is a secretary in the home nursing office. She has been there for a year and was told she makes more than what they normally pay for people in her position. They seem to always be looking for IT people and she is thinking about trying to get a certificate in the field to hopefully be able to move up to a better paying spot.
Not sure what part of the IT field she is thinking about? Software end of it from what she was telling me. She seemed to like how they could go into her computer and fix things or unlock stuff for her.
So does anyone have any info or suggestions I could pass along to her. I think she talked to the Phoenix people already. Any others to look in to that would be a better choice?
Thank you

Maybe check with the local community college or technology school.

She may want to talk with the folks at her work IT Dept and see where they went to school/got their training and where they would recommend she go.

Lot's of free training on several sites, YouTube, Udemy and others. I did see this last night from Google. (Not free past 7 day introduction)

A conversation with her IT department might be helpful to understand their needs, possible training/openings and general exposure to what they do. I would suggest finding something she enjoys doing and learning more will help with decisions.
