OK, mine is "Close Encounters of the Third Kind". Hmm, so am I going to Wyoming, climbing Devil's Tower and traveling off with aliens this year? After 2020, nothing would surprise me!

Oh great, the Brady bunch movie.  I finally got my kids to be self sufficient teenagers, and now apparently a divorce after almost 27 years of marriage is on the way, with a new wife, and and a bunch of new kids.  Take me back to 2020 please!

I just put "No. 1 box office movie for Jan 1978 (year I turned 21)" into a search engine and up popped the results

That's cheating Kristin!  I would have to go that route to know as well.

OK, I Googled it.
1967 - The Graduate.  Same year I got married.

Maybe this year will be "different" ?

A few lines from the movie:

Ben: I'm just...
Mr. Braddock: ...worried?
Ben: Well...
Mr. Braddock: About what?
Ben: I guess about my future.
Mr. Braddock: What about it?
Ben: I don't know. I want it to be...
Mr. Braddock: ...to be what?
Ben: ...Different.

Number 1 box office movie for November 11, 1962 was The Manchurian Candidate.

Gee!  Cold war politics and sleeper agents.

#1 movie in 1966 was The Bible. Whoops, think I may have broken a few commandments that year.

Superman - I can only hope that’s the way the rest of 2021 goes. Right now my kryptonite is COVID - has totally sapped me!  Made me wonder about the #1 song. Le Freak by Chic.

Mine was Rocky IV (Dec '85). The only thing I remember about the movie was James Brown's song. I hope I don't have to resort to "Black coffee, and a hard roll."  ;)

One site said "The Cowboys" and another said "Diamonds are Forever".

Oops that was the year I was born. The year I turned 21 it was Aladdin. So I get 3 wishes!

Ha!  I'm glad I stopped to look this up!  My 21st birthday was in January 1991.  The top movie that month was Home Alone!

10, although, according to Wikipedia, it also fell between Star Trek and the Muppet Movie.

What does this mean?  Odd time of life, on the Starship Enterprise crewed by the Muppets...  on a 5 year mission.. to seek out new life and civilizations?

Sounds like 2020 and 2021... so far... :puke: :help:

It’s going to be a bumpy ride......

I'm a young one on this forum it looks like. It was American Gangster. Good flick, not sure how it applies to 2021.
