Ill give it another shot, but like previous years, if Gonzaga looses early, I'm toast.  >:(

All excited.  NJ State University, Rutgers, will make the tourney.  First time in 30 years!!  COVID robbed them last year, fingers crossed everyone stays healthy this year.

I was just thinking today that this might be their year and I may pick accordingly!

The way big name schools are dropping out of their league tournaments with covid I will be pleasantly surprised if they can pull of this tournament without there being forfeits.

I hear this is a popular sport in China and somewhere else.  Maybe I'll try to find it on TV.

Or are top teams using Covid as a means to avoid losing in conference tournament which could adversely affect their seeding (such as maybe Kansas avoids playing Texas)?

I seriously doubt that as the college doesn't control the testing.

Just read the U Conn women's head coach has tested positive for COVID-19 which means he most likely will have to miss most if not all of the tournament.

I also find it interesting that they have 4 "reserve" teams that will fall into the bracket should any team not be able to play.  I didn't read the specifics enough to know whether that is at every stage of the tournament or just the first round this Fri/Sat.

I played a 1st round playoff game in 1977 with the flu and I came to find out after the game, a 103° fever.  I guess you are not allowed to do stuff like that anymore!

Michael Jordan would have one less championship too.

I'm in, but I went with my heart rather than my head. Something tells me I am not going to do too well!

I entered a bracket, but I watched a total of 1 game this year so I don't expect to be competitive.  Just looking for some entertainment!

I've focused my efforts on betting $1 per game on Fan Duel instead of picking a bracket.  It helped that they have a promo deal currently to bet $50 on Michigan St and pays out $45.45 and they are currently getting +141.5 points so it is like free money.

I am pleased with my Syracuse & Rutgers semi longshots, although North Carolina & Virginia tech let me down!

My brackets for the South division are just a sea of red.

I was jumping up and down, clapping and cheering late last night...by myself, when Rutgers beat Clemson.  You have to be from NJ and a Rutgers fan to understand the meaning behind that.

Like most others here and across the country brackets, the Big 10 really let me down too.  I did not do so bad at the end of the night, but I had OSU and Purdue going pretty deep so those picks are really going to cost me too as we go round to round.

Good luck with today's games all!

The Hogs screwed me out of a shot at the Win!  Best I can do is tie for 5th, the cream has stopped rising and has turned into cottage cheese!

Congrats to this years Winner Robert!  I have no idea what username that is here on the site, but I am sure they will check in and take a bow!  Thanks for all who played, it makes it fun for me to get to talk a little Smack!

Congratulations Robert, from the guy at the very bottom of the standings! Great job!!

It was a crazy tournament with a lot of upsets. But in the end it came down to the two highest seeds playing each other. While I am not surprised Baylor won I was surprised by the way they did it. After the way things ended last year, I am just glad they were able to pull off the tournament this year.

Thank you.  I didn't expect that after starting at the bottom of the standings.  I figured I was done early like most years lol.

I am glad they were able to have the tournament this year.  I am not surprised Baylor won but I thought the game would be closer.  We did get to see an amazing game with Gonzaga and UCLA.  Lot of upsets this year.  Glad it is back.

Congrats Robert.  Nice job with the win this year.  What a crazy MM to go along with the even crazier year we have all been through.  Was great the MM tourney was held.  Getting back to some normalcy I hope.

Hey, I managed to get second place.

I got second place a few years ago in one of the Pellet Head pools.  Back then we had a wood turner in the group who donated two wooden bowls he made to be given to the first and second place winners.  The first place winner got to pick which one he wanted, and I was given the other.  We still have and use that bowl, and it gives me a good memory of the old forum.

One of the years I might find the right combination of luck and intelligence to win the pool!

Bob The Smoker made those bowls.  And yes, they were beautiful!  I still wish I had the photos!
