Title: What to stock up on
Post by: urnmor on October 16, 2021, 09:01:40 AM
This is a follow up to the Thread "Not Again".  As there does appear to be a shortage or at least a "hit and miss when food shopping and or for other related items I am wondering what all we should be buying and adding to our pantry?

I live in earthquake country. One thing the pandemic did was to finally get us to stock the emergency supplies and water that are recommended.

I would treat it first from an emergency supply perspective. Stock two weeks of non perishables, along with paper products, toiletries and medical supplies.

Then I would add the "nice to haves" that address temporary shortages.

The problem is shelf life. We have had to replenish some of our aging supplies since they are not the kind of stuff we normally eat.
