Title: Christmas Cookies
Post by: urnmor on December 21, 2021, 03:36:30 PM
The Christmas cookies are made.  Triple chocolate cookies, oatmeal, chocolate chip, Rugelach and Kolachkes made with a creams cheese dough.  Not shown are the snickerdoodles. Fortunately I made a lot of them because I have been testing them non stop.

We don't do much sweet baking.
But every year wife makes the bon-bons to sent to our kids, and some for our poker playing friends.
This year made some Key Lime Sugar cookies as well.
Bon-Bons have peanut butter, graham cracker crumbs, and sugar rolled into a ball an then dipped in chocolate.
The Bon Bon pic is from last year.
Not as fancy as Urnmor's.

those Kolachkes look very similar to what we call kiffels back here except ours have the filling fully enclosed inside the dough

I use the jams I had in my refrigerator tio include raspberry, marmalade, peach and grape.  However I would not use grape again it is too runny.

pie or pastry filling is thicker and is what my Mom uses in kiffles
