Claire and I will not be moving to Florida soon. Our Niece went to use the bathroom at 1am in the house she had just moved into in Florida and found this:
-
Good thing the lights were on!
-
How does that happen?
Would not be something I would want to find either.
-
It looks like a python!
-
Uh, no thanks.
-
Noooooooope!
-
Could have been worse: the snake may have been larger.

It probably would not have fit up through the pipes then.
-
My guess is someone had it as a pet and didn't want it anymore, so flushed it and unfortunately found it's way into your nieces house.

I read a while back where that type of snake had gotten a foot hold in Florida, and they were offering a bounty for killing them.
-
That was definitely a pet. Looks to be a ball python. If you look at the coloration on it that is not what you find in nature. In nature they have multiple shades of brown. That snake looks to almost have lavender in its color pattern. That is probably a $500+ dollar snake.

That could do some serious psychological damage!

I think there is a good bounty from Dep't. of Wild Life for these illegal aliens. (I watch them being caught on History Channel). I think I would pass on that one. So how did she deal with it?

Boa Constrictors are definitely a serious problem in Florida.
I've seen TV show with them being hunted like they do with bounty on gators.
