It was good, but I think 2-3 more days on Vine and it would have been great!

Oh my, we dont have fresh tomatos in Kansas yet but the bacon is ready.
Enjoy!

Nice looking tomato and sandwich

Nice tomato and sammie.
I miss going out to the garden with the salt shaker and raiding the cherry and pear tomatoes. The fresh garlic and horseradish, stopping by and grabbing some little hot peppers on the way to the picnic pavilion where the grills were, to make breakfast at 5am.
Where I live now I really don't get much sun anywhere that I could plant anything even in pots.

I remember eating BLT Your Mom made one day and how great they were!

My tomatoes are not ready to pick yet, so store bought. I usually include avocado slices, but just used avocados to make guacamole, so used that instead.
Obviously not enough bacon! Everything else was great.

The BLT w/avocado. Truly a delicious sandwich!

Went to RD today and was compelled to buy a case of sliced bacon just because it is that time of year. And at $4/lb., I figured that was a pretty good price. I have not bought store bacon in a long time!

Awesome price by California standards. I have a fairly new RD by me. May need to make a trip to see if price is close to yours. Thanks for sharing.

Finally getting some of my heirloom tomatoes. First picture is just sliced tomatoes with salt, pepper, olive oil, red wine vinegar, and basil from my garden. Next is one that I let ripen more than I was supposed to (they are supposed to be yelliw)
. Great on my BLT!
