Title: Prime Tri-Tip
Post by: bregent on October 11, 2017, 09:34:13 PM
Went to Costco today to pick up a brisket and saw they also have USDA Prime Tri-Tip for $7.49/lb - a decent price so picked up a few packs to freeze.

My Costco had those for a few weeks right after they opened several years ago, and I haven't seen them since...

They used to be easy for me to find in the Seattle area. Now they sell "Tri-tip steaks". They ruin them by slicing it up. Tragic.

Living in CA, tri-tip is readily available. One of my favorite cuts of beef. Funny thing is..,I actually prefer the Choice over Prime when it comes to TT. The Prime is just a bit to fatty for me.

I agree. I don't really care for the prime tri-tips.

Have never seen these at my Costco. Been wanting to try it. Son in law in CA cooked them for us once over charcoal. Was excellent.
