Maybe if I ever get to take class someone can help me refine it, I am done search for Hoagie Roll recipes. This one by Marie, a Philly native and who runs the site Feeling Foodish (https://feelingfoodish.com/sandwich-rolls-hoagie-rolls/) Heavy Cream does not seem to help with the browning. On the next batch I will get away from the Cheap Screw mode and use an egg wash. I guess you can figure out what is for supper!

I just realized I for got the sugar, no wonder the did not Brown!

Looks like a meatball sub is on the menu for this weekend. Are you melting some provolone over the top?
-
Did not have provolone, had to go with the Motts! To much bread for a Meatball, but I think is gonna be great for Italian Sub, Tuna Salad and Cheesesteak. I think I will drop dough from 365 grams to 300 for next 12 inch!

Looks great! A heavier dough like you have may be better for a cheesesteak as the juices often times drip out with a lighter bread
-
Now you got me thinking Italian Beef too!

Now you got me thinking Italian Beef too!
Well I guess you could make a lighter bread for a hoagie and a heavier for cheesesteak and italian beef. If you can get both weights down in your baking skills, you can just make whatever you need for your use. You could probably freeze next day and pull out and thaw as needed.
-
Freezing is the only way I can keep it around without it going bad! I get on a kick and have a sandwich for 3 days in a row, then wont have one for 3 weeks.
-
well that is great news, just goes to show, don't give up and keep looking for a recipe you like.

Subway has nothing on you. That is a fine looking sammie.
Just looked at the recipe, that is very close to the pizza dough recipe I used.
-
Both of those look great but for me, the turkey wins.
-
I could get behind that turkey/ham sandwich any day of the week. :lick:
