Do you pay much attention to them?
We've all read about BPA content and its adversities, but is it really a concern?
I try to keep all my containers BPA free. However... Is that really an issue if you vac seal your food and cook/store it in something that has BPA's?
Obviously the sealing bags are BPA free (one would hope). Being the commoner I am, I assume this is true. Is it? I can put a vac sealed pouch in my sous vide bath, and smell the smoke in a little while.
Seems to me, if I can smell the smoke going out; other stuff may be going in.

I have not been smoking or using sous vide near as long as you have but in my four years, I've never smelled smoke coming from the sous vide. I use Vacstrip bags by Vacmaster.

the smoke particles are extremely small that is why they will go through the plastic.

BPA's are bigger?
