I salute all my brothers/sisters who have served and a special salute to all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our two great nations.

My avatar is a symbol of my patriotism towards our great country. Freedom is not free and I appreciate the sacrifices that our brothers and sisters have made and continue to make every day for it. My nephew is currently serving in the Army and is based out of Fort Wainwright in Fairbanks, AK. He just returned safely from a deployment to Malaysia and Japan and is waiting for his next order. We are very proud of him!

"We remember those who were called upon to give all a person can give, and we remember those who were prepared to make that sacrifice if it were demanded of them in the line of duty, though it never was. Most of all, we remember the devotion and gallantry with which all of them ennobled their nation as they became champions of a noble cause." -- Ronald Reagan

We remember and are thankful.

I would like to thank all of the men and women that have served and are currently serving this great country.  I think we should also thank the spouses and family members of those that are serving this country.

I never served, but many family members have. I've posted on this topic many times on many forums.

Thank you to all that have served. And thank you to all that 'civies' that have done so much dirty work for our nations.

Mom worked for the WA St National Guard in the Casualty office. Her responsibility's...

Notify families of POW or KIA status. Coordinate/bring home the remains or tortured in camps. Make arrangements for burial.

THAT'S a xxxxxx job, and she suffered un-mentioned mental and physical side affects.

I'd just like to see a little respect for those 'behind the lines' that get none. Thanks to ALL.

And the entire government takes a day off in honor of the Veterans. Really?
Shouldn't you be taking care of them instead of ignoring them?

Rant off. >:(

Some entities have a "distorted view" of reality. Sad but true. Really sad! Bless them all.
