I found in my local butcher shop....

A brisket point.    :cool:

13 lbs. 

I've smoked a xxxx load of packers, but probably 75% of the time, the flat comes out ok, but not " great".  The points always come out great. 

Plan on smoking this this week.  I'll keep you posted.

Well, I will admit, I mentioned to him that he didn't actually separate the two, but lopped it off where the point starts. So this will have some of the flat attached, but only about a couple pounds at most. 

I've purchased whole packers from him in the past that tipped the scales at 18-20 lbs.
