Easy Chili With Beans
« on: February 04, 2018, 11:31:00 AM »

2.5 lbs ground beef
1 large onion chopped
1 C chopped celery
2 cloves minced garlic
1 C Chopped green pepper
3 16 oz canned beans (Cooks Choice as to what kind)
1 16 oz can diced tomatoes
1 can tomato soup
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
5 Tablespoon salt free Chili powder ( I use Penseys)
2 Tablespoon ground cumin

Brown beef, drain grease if needed.
Add spices and saute a few minutes. Watch that they do not burn.
Add celery, onion and garlic. Saute until they start to soften.
Add beans, tomatoes and soup. Stir well and bring to a boil.
Turn down to a slow simmer. Stir occasionally. Adjust seasoning if needed.
I like to simmer for at 3 hours.

Serve with toppings of your choice.
