Pork Pulling Tool
« on: February 14, 2018, 10:37:47 PM »

A few years ago there was a tool you would into a cordless drill, Place your pork butt into a bucket, Pull the trigger on the drill and you would have pulled pork in no time.

Does anyone know if these are still on the market? Where can I buy one?

There are a lot of them on the market.  The one I recall is the Porkinator.

If you have access to Pelletheads, jimsbarbeque did a product review of one I believe...But I wanna say it was the Roman Pork Puller?  I would venture to guess there is a link in there  or just check youtube and see the 100's of inventions on there!

The ones for the drill work really well, we have used one every year at Feed the Troops and even for a Catering we did 10 Butts in very short amount of time, you just have to be careful not to overuse it or you can turn the Pork  Mushy .

Thanks Guys! I googled it and a few popped up. About once a year I do about 8 Butts for our Motorcycle group. Looking for an easier way to pull them. I was at a Pellet head Comp in Green Bay years ago and a fellow had one of these & swore by it!

I had one and gave it away. The crowd I was cooking for at work on a regular basis preferred the larger hand pulled chunks as Bentley posted. I tend to agree, as the shredder tends to break it down too much. I think more flavor is retained in larger chunks and has a better visual presentation.
