Flboy76  Are you in Sarasota?

We visit our daughter in Sarasota and we see Publix everywhere.

That is a tough one...In your two descriptions, I would say the mouth feel is much closer to sirloin then flank!  To me Tri-tip has the consistency of a thick piece of Round at medium temperature, but more flavor.

dido!!! we had some t.t. last week... I injected with beef stock, melted butter and garlic powder (mixed), then marinated for 4 hours in the beef stock...came out very, very well! My wife was amazed ( I did not tell her how much it cost). We do love our beef!!

way to go  LSJ

NMike, I'm in Ponte Vedra, just above St.Augustine on the east coast. Next time you visit drop by a Publix and see they carry them, I know most of the ones in my area does, but sometimes you have to ask for them.
