I would say rock cod, but we will have to wait and see...See the one on the right that was chewing bubble gum!

Around here, I'd be lucky to get one about 8-10 inches. Snappers are even smaller.  :(

Nice snappers.  Bet they were great feast.
Best part of my fishing trip to Canada in 2016: Shore lunch walleye.

Bocaccio maybe? Those are some of the best looking fish I've seen in years and the deck hand is a lot nicer looking than most too. :)

Always tend to catch ice quality fish on this particular trip.  It is a three hour boat ride North of Morro Bay Ca. In an area called Cape San Martin. Due to the distance it is not a heavily fished area.  Great time.

The Monterey boats run trips down to Pt. Sur now and then and that can be pretty good fishing also.

Point Sur is where I caught my biggest Ling Cod back about 25 years ago.  Good quality Rock Fish to be caught there.
