SAUCE - What to buy II (online)
« on: May 06, 2018, 01:08:01 PM »

OK this is similar to the other topic except this is the stuff you ain't gonna find at the local grocer.
I have some stashed away on the shelf that I haven't even opened to try yet.
Lets try to keep replys to just one brand

So, this afternoon ribs are gonna get a basting from an open bottle that is yet in the frig.
And it not bad at all. It's -

EAT Barbecue IPO  (A Memphis sauce that defected to Kansas City)

My current vote for my favorite BBQ sauce is Jack Scalfani's The Best Barbeque Sauce You’ll Ever Taste.  Yes, that's the product's name.

I switch BBQ sauces regularly, so as I wrote, this is my current favorite.  I suspect that my taster doesn't discriminate as well as others' because I seem to like what I'm eating at the moment.

OK folks, not heard of a lot of these.  Would love to see some reviews in our member review section for sauces.  It would be a great benefit to the members!!

My go to sauce that I purchase on-line is from Que BBQ in Richmond, VA.  This is the local chain of BBQ restaurants owned by Tuffy Stone of Cool Smoke BBQ.  There are two or three flavors, but as a general rule I only buy the "original".

A current favorite of mine is Mac's Speed Shop Red Sauce.

Mac's is a Charlotte based BBQ pub with a handful of locations.  You can find one or two of their sauces in some North Carolina based grocery stores but it's hit and miss on availability.  You can order from their website.

I like to get it from their downtown (Southend) Charlotte restaurant where they fill the bottles on site.

I typically like different style sauces on different meats.  But this is one of the very few sauces that I love on pork, beef, chicken, and sausage.

My wife loves Abe's BBQ Sauce from Clarksdale, MS.  I bought a Corky's Hot and Rendezvous Hot while in MS a few weeks ago as I could not remember which one I liked better when I lived there 20+ years ago.  They are both Memphis BBQ restaurants.  I like the Rendezvous Hot.  Will do a review at some point.

We buy Blues Hog Tennessee Red by the half gallon and probably should purchase it by the gallon.  It is the best sauce for anything pork.  Most people think of it as just a PP sauce, but it is amazing on ribs.
