I have seen how it is made, and it truly is just what its name suggests. But to me, it reminds me of my charcoal and offset cooking days, and I wanted to get away from that flavor!

I can't do liquid smoke. We had a dog when I was younger that we got from folks that went into a nursing home. They had always fed him table scraps and basically the only way we could get him to eat kibble was to add liquid smoke. So it reminds me of dog food.
