BBQ Sauce - Famous Dave's Devil's Spit

Sauce Profile:
1. Spicy
2. Tomato Base
3. Thin (will run on a plate)

This is a thin tomato paste and vinegar consistency.  Not really hints of anything other than that tomato/vinegar style, but packs a fair punch in heat.  I am not sure where the heat comes from as the label does not clearly state what is used to kick it up.  The heat is not overpowering to me as I have been eating some of those off the richter scale hot sauces in the last few months.  This sauce used to be spicier to me.  So, probably not for the ordinary person who does not prefer spicy foods.

This could be used on anything that you want a thin layer of sauce on or with - wings, burgers, ribs, pork shoulder, and maybe even brisket.

Thank you again!

Do your tastes in BBQ sauce run to the acidic side?  I see my arch nemesis vinegar is still # 4 on the list of ingredients!  The list started off good!

What a great color BBQ sauce!

I am split between vinegar and tomato.  I don't seem to be a big fan of mustard style.  This was probably the least vinegar flavor of any that I have reviewed so far.  The spice and the tomato flavor come through.  Maybe the water cuts the sauce more than the vinegar.  Could be something to the Worcestershire sauce in it too.

I should get some of those 2oz plastic cups and send you samples of all of the sauces ;D

I really like their sweet and spicy sauce and their pickles, so am sure this will be tasty too!

Rich & Sassy, Hot & Sassy, Texas Pit, Chipotle, and South Side were good too.

Dang, bringing back memories for me. I used to get the pound of rib tips from Dave's grab at least 5 or 6 packets of Devils Spit and just stuff my face at lunch.
Seems so long ago.  :(

I use this when I make wings.  I enjoy the flavor.

I like Dave's sauces and pickles.  I think they are some of the better mass produced items available at most grocery stores.  His spicy pickle relish is great in a tuna salad.
