What’s cooking on Memorial Day
« on: May 25, 2020, 12:49:06 PM »

We just got 2 racks of St. Louis cut ribs in the pit. Having them with calico beans and vinegar based coleslaw.

What are you cooking?

I did a rack of St. Louis style ribs and some smoked sausage on my Traeger, being my GMG DB is out of commission.

2 racks of St Louis ribs, mashed potatoes, corn maque choux, sauteed zucchini and yellow squash.   I'm not much on ribs but they looked good and were on sale.

Well I cheated on a pork shoulder. Half an hour on the pellet grill and an hour in the Instant Pot. It was kind of spur of the moment. With roasted potatoes and chopped coleslaw made with olive oil and vinegar, no mayo. And beer ... in a glass, not in the coleslaw  All in all very delicious.

No pellet grill usage this weekend.  Just a ham and swiss with some sriracha mayo.

2 Cheeseburgers and bad potato salad...stay away from Green Giant Golden potatoes for potato salad, not the ticket.
