Those look great.

We have not done them in a while. I usually prefer a thicker 1/2# plus burger on the grill. But those thin flat burgers are a great change up at times and faster.

Did you smash them on top of the onions? We will do that at times also.

Did you smash them on top of the onions? We will do that at times also.
If you see the 1st pic we grilled the onions then chopped them with a dough cutter and made 4 little piles and set the patties on them. We then put the remainder of the onions on top of each burger and added cheese. So there were onions on the bottom and top.
I think that makes sense. They were a slippery mess but quite good.
