A Very Special Christmas Present

I received a very special gift from my family as a Christmas present.  It is a 24x18x1.5 Walnut Endgrain cutting board.  It is so nice looking I wanted to hang it on the wall, however, the Matriarch gave a big emphatic "no" to that idea.  She said it was meant to be used and that  it gets better with age just like the Chef.  Of course the Chef has had 51 years of training under her tutelage.

what an awesome gift. If it was made by a friend or family instead of just bought, I am sure they want it used rather than displayed. Happy cooking with it.

 Exceptional! Lucky you!       I see it has my name on it. Is there a chance it got delivered to the wrong place?

That is very nice.  I would be afraid to use it and agree that hanging it up somewhere would be something nice to look at.
