I liked the one with the little vertical on the top, but it seem from reading from people that have them to run the top at 225 the bottom needs to run at 300 plus, so probably not much smoke being produced at the 300 plus area. I think they also made one that was pellet on one side and a flat op griddle on the other.
I think lowes has some built just for them also, and maybe tractor supply.
I have one of the first verticals they made. CH7. it is nice and roomy. I remember looking at one of the horizontal ones at lowes one time I was there and lifted the lid, I was surprise at how much heavier it was than I was thinking it would be, and very sturdy appearing. It was easily on par with my rectec I had at the time, other than the internals were SS on my rt, it was also more heavily built than my gmg. Biggest issues I seem to read about and even experienced with mine on the Pit Boss is controller temps, running wild. Some models didn't seem to have many issues while others seemed to be constant.
For the money they look to be a good value, especially if you are just getting into pellet cooking.
