From what I read, it is probably 5% of the beef and pork production of the country that is currently shutdown for processing.  Shouldn't be enough to increase prices significantly but these are crazy times.

Marketwatch said JBS accounts for 22 to 28 percent of cattle harvested in the US, but they are in the business of selling clicks, so who knows for sure. If the media blows this up, the sheeple will clean out the meat cases, just like they did TP last year. Perhaps it depends of who the distributors and retailers are that JBS sells to.

That is true, but only about 20% of their business is currently down which puts the USA total at about 5%.

Brisket is already about $5+/# here.  No more $3/# prime packers.  Baby back ribs are $4/# up about $1/# vs last year.  Wings are almost non existant and when available are over $4/#.  Other chicken parts are hard to find too but not as hard as wings.  Steaks seem to be up $2+/# vs last year too.

The CNN article and MW didn't specify that only a fraction of the plants were affected, so that's good news, I guess. Meat's a lot more expensive here in Ky., too.
