Thai Hanger Steak
« on: August 17, 2021, 08:16:44 PM »

Grilled Thai hanger steak with sesame noodle salad.

Marinade (measurements approximate)

- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1.5 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons canola oil
- 1.5 tablespoons fish sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon each: garlic, ginger, lemongrass. All ground pastes from the tubes found in the cold salad dressing area of the grocery store.

Marinaded in a ziplock bag overnight.

Pellet grill heated to about 500 degrees. Total grilling time was approximately 12 minutes. I flipped it once.
Rested, sliced, and a little salt on the cutting board.

That looks delicious.   I have never seen hanger steak for sale in our local Food Lion.

There's one per side of beef.  They are rarely delivered to the consumer.  That's why they were commonly called the butcher's steak.
