Halo, a pizza oven maker, has a battery operated pellet grill.
Looks like it would be good for camping or tailgating.

 I had a quick look. Not too shabby for a portable..   The needed accessories will place the cost in a top tier bracket.   

 As with all battery powered devices, cars included, there is range anxiety. That requires planning unless in this case there is 120 volt  power supply handy for the power adapter as a back-up.

 I was wondering about ignition thinking some sort of auxiliary starter system such as a propane torch or sawdust/wax starters would be required. Not so. ..  The 12v/5 Ah battery couldn't handle conventional

 igniters well if at all. The spark ignition igniter is an interesting concept.  How will it fare out?
 
 This is an interesting innovation for sure.
