Depending on your beliefs you may want to source 100% hardwood pellets..Just make sure you contact the manufacturer and be sure of the content..The price S B ~ $5.50 to $6.00 / 40 lbs.. I have been using such pellets for 6 years now..There is a pellet manufacturer less than an hour away where I pick them up. It gave me a chance to see the facility and ask many questions. The Premium Hardwood Blend I use composure is:oak.cherry maple and walnut.

I believe it is Louisiana Grills that state there is no such thing as food grade pellets in one of their owners manuals..
