Fly Ash in Pro
« on: December 03, 2017, 09:42:40 AM »

I have had my Pro just short of 6 months. Have smoked, cooked at mid range as well 650º pizza. It is used almost daily..   It took a while, then it hit me, the minute amount ( virtually none ) of fly ash on and above the cooking area..Below is a different story.

Ash, as found in my former pit..The former pit had a fairly even distribution of ash throughout..

I have been using the same pellets for years so that isn't a factor.

A hidden plus was found. :)

I usually clean out my burn pot after every cook.  The rest of it down below maybe once a year.  Twice at the most.  I do not use the foil pans but just let it build up in the drawer.

The drawer must be FULL and heavy @ cleanup time.
