Good to be reminded to share.  I read a story yesterday, perhaps a lot of you did.  A first grade teacher in Texas asked her class to write letters to Santa.  They had to include something they wanted and something they needed.  The lesson was to teach them the difference between want and need.

One little girl said she wanted a ball (so she and her little brother would have a toy to play with) and also wanted food.  She needed a blanket.  I cried when I read this.  We talk about nothing but food on this forum  The teacher posted the letter and now thousands are responding and sending things to the school for many of the children.  Americans are really very kind and giving people , but it is good to be reminded every once in a while that we need to care for our neighbor.

 So true.  There are so many in need.  As I volunteer daily for The Salvation Army kettle,I have heard a lot of stories from people passing by that S. A. has helped..It brings tears to this old mans eyes at times.

Hey hugh....Bent said it best...Amen... to that brother!  Many of us have so much, it is good to take care of those that don't.  Kristin, you bring a small story that is repeated all across the land, and shows what makes this such a great country.

Amen to all of the above. This is a special time of year and it is a time to think of others. Thanks to all those who are ringing bells (not always an easy job) The Salvation Army is a great organization. Also, thank you to all who are contributing in various ways to make this world a better place. May you experience the true pace and promise the season brings.
