Thanks to Kristin for the VERY nice explanation. I'm new to this site as I'm new to pellets after a few decades of cooking on stickburners, charcoal, electrics, gassers ect. So, when I saw this thread being handled the way is was I was initially taken aback by what seemed to be(at first glance and lacking info) heavy handed censorship that could possibly mislead folks by only having positive reviews and such for only a certain cooker or type. BUT, it is nothing like that at all. It's simply a laser focused forum with strong loyalties to the people that made it all possible.

Again, thanks for taking the time to explain so new folks like myself can understand how and WHY this forum operates the way it does.

People have to understand, this is a forum for pellet cooking, not lump, stick and most assuredly not GAS.   And why anyone would cook on gas to begin with is beyond my comprehension anyway.   [ Invalid Attachment ]  But that's just me.  Are there gas forums?   And if there are.....why?  Pellets are not my only form of outdoor cooking but I discuss the others on other forums.   Aaaannnndddd.....Bentley and Kristen are the owners so they make the rules.   So don't be a millennial, just follow the rules and we'll all get along.  Rant over, at least for now.   Next one will be about Billdo and his millennial rejects at Microsoft. >:(

One final thought:  Perhaps we could have a single thread labeled " Non-Pellet Gear and miscellaneous"   It would be searched only by those who are interested but still loyal pelleteers.  ? :help:
I can accept NO for an answer but doesn't hurt to ask.

I posted a lot of stuff on the old site, and a fair bit here. No one has ever deleted a post or modified my entry.

Seriously, I wouldn't know where to draw the line. How does college football relate to pellet smoking (other than game day cooks)?
Many here know of my propensity to hype the world renowned UW Husky Crew program and its vaunted history. In no way can I think of someone tailgating at a college rowing event. Nor can I envision a party to watch a regatta on the screen. In terms of 'interest', college rowing must rank down at the bottom of the scale.

Ya know what? I've never been disciplined for it. AND, it's coming again.  :pig: Rowing is the oldest US collegiate sport, yet it gets little to no attention if yer not an avid follower. Maybe that's why. Because I'm passionate about it? Or maybe because it's worthy of promoting the sport?

I simply chalk it up to admin selectivity. If they don't like it, simply move on. If the admins want me to smash my keyboard, so be it. No biggy.

Until then, the Windermere cup is 05/05/2018.

Peace...

I believe the issue is only posts involving non-pellet cookers, not other types  of posts.
