Are You Cooking Anything for Mom Today?
« on: May 13, 2018, 08:09:49 AM »

Is anyone fortunate enough to be cooking for your Mom today?  Or maybe, if your wife is a Mom you are cooking for her?  If so, post a photo for us to enjoy!

Will not be cooking anything for my mom today as she is still in the hospital.  My wife requested salmon (farm raised Atlantic Salmon here on the East Coast) for dinner so will be cooking salmon rubbed with coarsely ground pepper and brown sugar, kale and quinoa cake and roasted broccoli.

I’m cooking for the wife today. She has been eating healthier so we did Turkey bacon and hot cakes on the Blackstone for brunch before hitting an Infinity War matinee.

For dinner she wants steaks on the kettle (she prefers charcoal for steaks), fresh green beans Sous Vide, and zucchini fries.

Ohhhhh, zucchini fries!!  I normally dislike ranch dressing, but for some reason I love to dip zucchini fries in ranch dressing.  Not many things I miss about So Cal, but we did have a lot of great local burger joints in Pasadena/So Pasadena and they made great zucchini fries and chili cheese fries. Can't get either in this part of the world.

Eye of ribeye medium rare for "Mom" and I today, with noodles, and salad. No pics, too hungry.
Dinner out with the kids last PM at New Orleans style restaurant, and breakfast this AM with more kids.  A busy 24 hrs.
Beautiful day here to round out.  8) ;D :)
