Hot, and fast pork butt
« on: May 06, 2018, 08:14:04 PM »

Cooked this pork butt until internal temperature of 205.  It was a 6 pounder that took 7 hours.
225 1hr
300 1hr
325 5hr
The rotisserie takes advantage of all that fat in the butt so you can cook at higher temperatures if you want.

looks great...i wouldn't be surprised to see rotisseries be common on pellet grills in the next 5 years.  it would be nice to have one.

Really good.  Tender, and juicy with nice soft bark.

Son of Earle - what rotisserie basket is that?   Those look great and I will only cook pork butts on my rotisserie since I did the last one on it.

OneGrill Performer series OLD STYLE. The two piece spit rod design avoids piercing the meat.  The new style uses your full length spit rod that passes through the basket, and your meat.

IMHO, Pork cooked low and slow retains a lot more pork flavor.  :2cents:
