That is the whole reason to eat beans!

When I spoke of soaking I was referring to the practice of soaking in a large volume of water and then discarding the soaking water in order to get rid of some of the carbs that cause gas.

  An update - I found what I was looking for..Two factors were involved.  1/ FRESH beans. I used Navy beans purchased from a local farm that has several varieties. Thay sell vast amounts world-wide, and

 fortunately, are interested in selling small quantities locally. They are super clean and hydrate in a very period of time.

 2/ Cooking - Cook then bake 4 hrs.

 I used my daughters recipe that I deem to be a good average baked bean recipe. The result was tasty, moist beans soaked with flavor completely thru..This ends my search.
