51 years here. When they were young, our kids said that they were the only kids they knew that had both their original parents at home. They are both near 50 and are very devoted to us both.  They also have long lasting first marriages.  Very fortunate.

Not sure I can accurately express any so called secrets.  We both came from parents that only married once, taught our children the great value of stable relationships and  I think they got the messages. But I am sure a lot more factors are involved, including a great deal of luck as well.  Also taught them that marriage is more of "we-ours" than it is "me-mine".
