DB vs. DC
« on: February 11, 2019, 10:24:53 PM »

I think I"ve asked this before, does the DC use less pellets to heat up? I ask because most of the time I cook for two and its two steaks, hamburgers ETC.  I do turkeys, whole chickens from time to time, but I'm wondering if a DC would be more economical 80% of the time.

Thanks,
Jon

As I recall the ambient temperatures were about 15° higher for the 2 DB test then the DC...I think the DC was in the 50's!

The small variation in pellet consumption between the DC and the DB at 200 and 300F is shocking.
