Tried something new with ribs today
« on: March 30, 2019, 08:39:44 PM »

Today I finished off ribs:
Indirect heat 400 degrees
about 8 minutes a side
I put plenty of this on:
johnnysfinefoods.com/products/cooking-sauces/firecracker-sauce-12oz/
It's great on chicken but awesome in ribs.
When Costco has it again, I'm going to load up!

The store locator points me to my local grocery.  Fry`s has the 12oz for $2.89, I'll add it to the list.
Thanks

The reasons I like it:
1. Adds moisture
2. Adds the right amount of heat
3. Adds fantastic flavor that compliments the meat... rather than cover it up.
4. The wifey likes it.

Firecracker Sauce...the name tells me that I should avoid it.  I'd have to buy Wet Wick Sauce.

Going to add this to the list to try. My palate really likes the Asian style sweet heat.

Have you tried Frank's Red Hot Stingin Honey Garlic yet?

For what it is worth - search "firecracker sauce". First up is a copycat recipe. Something to try before laying out those hard earned $.   :2cents:
