I Thought Winter Was Over
« on: March 31, 2019, 08:14:57 AM »

Yesterday it was 49º and raining. Around 10 PM the rain turned to snow as the temperature dropped..This morning there is over 2" of snow and the temperature is 28º..Kind of puts a damper on my chicken

cook. I was looking forward to milder weather - that will be tomorrow, I hope... To make me feel worse, the salt truck just went by reminding me winter weather isn't over.

It is not that bad in South Alabama.  It was 80 degrees and sunny yesterday.  Then overnight we get some light rain and the temps have been dropping every since.  It is now 52 and it is supposed to get into the low 40's tonight.  Add the wind blowing 15 to 20 mph and it is a day to stay inside.

Looks like mid 70s next weekend when I get to Muscle Shoals and then Gulfport.

Had snow here yesterday afternoon into the night. Ground was white this AM, granted it will melt by noon, was depressing to see still.

I think we are finally on the good side of winter but can't be too sure yet living here in MN.  A year ago 4/15/18 we had 12+ inches.

Snowed for a few hours Saturday morning, didn't stick but was cold and xxxxxx.
Sunday, cold beautifully sunny and we spent the day doing yard work.
I too think we have turned the corner, hopefully anyway.
This week a few days in the 60-70º, small chances of rain.

No sun, gloomy, and 45° today with a low of 30° tonight.  Supposed to be 68° and Sunny tomorrow with a low of 38°.  And then the Worm may have Turned here too, as the 15 day forecast has 8 of those day above 70° and the lowest overnight temp in the mid 40's!

I feel better now.. The snow is 99% gone, the sun is shining and the temperature is rising. 50º today and warmer weather forecast.. I did my chicken and cleaned up the Memphis so it's ready to go. Feels

like Spring now.
